Anthargange, meaning 'Ganges from within' in Kannada, is a mesmerising landscape of volcanic rock formations in the Kolar district, just 65 km from Bangalore. What makes this trek truly unique is the labyrinth of natural caves formed by ancient volcanic activity — narrow passages between massive boulders that you squeeze, crawl and climb through with nothing but your headlamp for company. The 6 km trail rises to 1,712 ft through rocky terrain dotted with these extraordinary formations. The adventure includes rappelling down rock faces, adding a shot of adrenaline to the exploration.
